See Bled
differently.
Run with me through Bled's landscape, history and everyday life.
Auch auf Deutsch · melde dich gerne.
Easy pace, small group, and a few stops along the way.
We move from the lakeside through quieter village paths and up to a hill above the lake, a climb that opens a different view of Bled. We stop at a few carefully chosen spots, where the view fits the story. By the end, the place usually starts to fit together.
The iconic views, and a first look at what quietly shapes Bled behind them.
The farming Bled, still here, just behind the postcard view.
Up to Straža above the lake, along quieter hillside paths. A different side of Bled begins to emerge.
A different angle on a familiar place, and how the pieces slowly start to fit together.
Everything you need to know before coming.

Whatever brings you, the pace is easy and conversational, and we stay together as a group throughout.
You don't need to be a fast runner. But you should feel comfortable jogging around 6.5 km outdoors — including an uphill section, some uneven terrain, and light forest and gravel paths.
This is not simply a run around the lake. It's a route through the landscape around Bled, up to Straža, and along paths that help make sense of how Bled became what it is today.

Understanding Bled beyond the postcard.
Bled is a small place with an unusual role.
Today it's an international destination — visited by people from all over the world. In the past, it was a collection of small farming villages around Lake Bled.
Over time it developed into a retreat for wealthy visitors, political leaders, and travellers searching for nature, health and adventure. Yet Bled has always remained a regular village where people live their everyday lives. And that is part of what makes it unique.
On this run, we explore how Bled became what it is today — through its landscape, history, and everyday life.
I'm Markus, originally from Germany and now living in Bled.
I developed this route to better understand the place myself, and to share that perspective with others. Over the years, curiosity led me to spend a lot of time learning about Bled, trying to understand how a small place like this became what it is today, and how things here fit together.
I'm also simply happy to meet people who visit Bled. The run creates space to move, talk, exchange perspectives, and hear how others experience the place.
